Intermountain Primary Children’s Medical Center – Salt Lake City, Utah
These iPads will be used by the inpatient children at these hospitals for distraction while having a medical procedure, for socialization and for education by staff about the child’s disease/surgery. Each $329 iPad mini impacts between 365 and 9,100 children/teens per year depending on where it is used in the hospital. Procedure rooms average 25 children per day that use the iPad. iPads that are used by children on isolation precautions are with the child the whole day.
